Das am westlichen Rand des Spessarts gelegene Sulzbach am Main mit seinen Ortsteilen Dornau und Soden hat derzeit ca. 7000 Einwohner. Obwohl es direkt an die Stadt und den Landkreis Aschaffenburg angrenzt, gehört es noch zu dem Landkreis Miltenberg (Autokennzeichen MIL). 1973 wurde Sulzbach von der Bayer. Staatsregierung zum Markt erhoben. Partnergemeinde von Sulzbach ist Urrugne im franz. Baskenland.
