Herr Landrat Roland Schwing hat am 28. Januar 2008 im Namen von Ministerpräsident Dr. Günther Beckstein das Ehrenzeichen des bayerischen Ministerpräsidenten an Herrn Dietmar Rehse überreicht. Herr Rehse leitete über 26 Jahre lang den Musikverein Edelweiß Sulzbach als Dirigent, gründete mehrere Jugendblasorchester, stellte sich als Ausbilder für die Jugend zur Verfügung und unterstützt die Kapelle heute noch als aktives Mitglied. Zu dieser besonderen Ehrung gratulierten 1. Bürgermeister Peter Maurer, 1. Vorstand des Musikvereins „Edelweiß“ Hermann Seitz, sowie Landrat Roland Schwing (von links).
