Musikverein Edelweiß Sulzbach: Edvard Griegs »Peer Gynt Suite« und Blasmusik – wie kann das zusammengehen? Beim Konzert des Sulzbacher Musikvereins wurde eindrucksvoll demonstriert, dass es ein motiviertes und musikalisch gut eingestelltes Blasorchester durchaus mit einem von reichlich Streichinstrumenten flankierten Sinfonieorchester aufnehmen kann. Die Interpretation der Stücke war musikalisch sehr ausgefeilt. Hoch konzentriert und einfühlsam wurden die Instrumente eingesetzt. In das harmonische Zusammenspiel flossen brillante Soli und wechselnde Einsätze der Instrumentalgruppen ein auf der einen Seite Flöten, Klarinetten, Oboe und Fagott und auf der anderen Seite hohes und tiefes Blech sowie die Schlaginstrumente. Dirigent Winfried Rehse agierte einfühlsam und mit ausdrucksstarker Körpersprache.
Beim ersten Stück des Programms glänzten Jugendblasorchester und sinfonisches Blasorchester gemeinsam. Eine kleine Bläsergruppe hatte sich auf der Empore versammelt und ging mit dem restlichen Orchester auf der Bühne in den Dialog. So gewann der festlich tönende Krönungsmarsch aus der Oper »Der Prophet« von Giacomo Meyerbeer an Klangfülle.
Ein Glanzstück hatte der 22-jährige Markus Hein mit seiner Komposition »Oe«verture abgeliefert. Zu Ehren seines Förderers Ernst Oestreicher hatte der Sulzbacher ein ergreifendes Orchesterwerk komponiert.
Nachwuchssorgen hat der Sulzbacher Musikverein offensichtlich nicht. Mit dem Jugendblasmusikorchester ist schon jetzt eine sehr leistungsstarke Kapelle in die Fußstapfen des Erwachsenenorchesters getreten. Perfekt in Dynamik und Rhythmik setzten die Musiker die Stücke »Celebration Overture« und »Celtic Ritual« um.
Neben »Appalachian Overture« von James Barnes, »Titanic« von Stephan Jaeggi, »Oregon« von Jacob de Haan und einer Zusammenfassung von Melodien aus dem Walt-Disney-Film »Der Glöckner von Notre-Dame« bewies das Blasorchester mit der Interpretation zu Edvard Griegs »Peer Gynt Suite Nr. 1« über den Bergkönig auf eindrucksvolle Weise sein Können.
