Märsche und Moderne: Neues Jugendauswahl-Orchester stellt sich vor – Musikverein Edelweiß

Mit einem Gemeinschaftschor für Jungmusiker hat der Musikbund-Kreisverband Miltenberg am Sonntag beim Werbefest des Musikvereins Trennfurt sein neues Auswahlorchester erstmals an den Start geschickt. Projektleiter Siegfried Postel begrüßte rund 100 junge Instrumentalisten aus dem gesamten Landkreis. Die zwölf- bis 25-jährigen Blasmusiker aus Sulzbach, Mömlingen, Bürgstadt, Trennfurt und Mechenhard hatten sich in ihren Heimatvereinen mit vier Musikstücken vorbereitet und gaben diese erstmals in dem Großorchester zum Besten. Unter der Leitung von Wilco Grootenboer spielten sie neben zeitgenössischen Titeln wie »Can you feel the love tonight« von Elton John und »Final Countdown« von Europe auch moderne Konzertmärsche wie den »Pathfinders March« von Philip Sparke (Foto). Zufrieden mit dem Projektstart zeigte sich Kreisvorsitzender Walter Zöller: »Ziel ist, ein Orchester zu formen, das anspruchsvolle Konzertmusik darbieten kann.« Jetzt sollen weitere Jungmusiker angeworben werden. Teilnehmen können Musiker von sechs bis 27 Jahren. Im Dezember findet das Abschlusskonzert statt.
