Vor drei Jahren hatte der Musikverein Sulzbach eine Einladung zur Teilnahme am »Köpenicker Blasmusiksommer« in Berlin erhalten. Mit 38 Musiker/innen reiste man nun in die Hauptstadt, um den bayerischen Untermain musikalisch zu vertreten. Zum 45. Mal fand der »Köpenicker Sommer« statt. Wichtigste Attraktion war der Festzug zum Köpenicker Rathaus entlang des Weges, den 1906 der arbeitslose Schuster Voigt als »Hauptmann von Köpenick« verkleidet nahm, um im Rathaus den Bürgermeister zu verhaften und die Stadtkasse zu beschlagnahmen. Die Sulzbacher konnten dabei die Zuhörer, die zwei Zugaben einforderten, restlos begeistern. Natürlich nutzte der Musikverein Sulzbach die Tage auch, um sich Berlin etwas näher anzusehen.
