Der Musikverein Edelweiß Sulzbach hielt sich Ende September für eine Woche im französischen Baskenland auf. Anlass der Reise war die Feier der 20-jährigen Partnerschaft zwischen den Gemeinden Urrugne und Sulzbach sowie dem Musikverein Edelweiß und der Zarpaï Banda aus Hendaye. Highlights der Reise waren das »internationale« Fußballspiel zwischen den beiden Musikvereinen und Ausflüge wie zum Beispiel nach Lourdes. Das schöne Wetter machte zudem wunderschöne Stunden an der Atlantikküste möglich. Auf musikalischer Seite schlugen noch einige Stunden Straßenmusik in Urrugne und ein Platzkonzert im Hafen von Hendaye zu Buche. Der gelungene Aufenthalt machte große Lust auf den Gegenbesuch der Zarpaï Banda über das Faschingswochenende in Sulzbach.
