Der Musikverein Sulzbach erhält als einer von 3 bayerischen Musikvereinen die Auszeichnung für 100-jähriges Bestehen.
Am 22. April 2023 findet im Hofgarten in Kleinheubach (Landkreis Miltenberg) der Festakt zur Verleihung der Zelter-Plakette und der PRO MUSICA-Plakette statt, bei dem der Musikverein Edelweiß Sulzbach als einer von drei bayerischen Musikvereinen ausgezeichnet wird.
Die Pro Musica Plakette
Mit der Verleihung der Zelter-Plakette und der PRO MUSICA-Plakette gratuliert der Bundespräsident Chor- und Musikvereinigungen zu ihrem 100-jährigen Bestehen. 1956 stiftete der damalige Bundespräsident Theodor Heuss die Zelter-Plakette, um Chöre für ihre Pflege des Liedes und des kulturellen Lebens auszuzeichnen. Bundespräsident Heinrich Lübke zog 12 Jahre später nach, als er beschloss, auch den volksbildenden Einsatz der Musikvereine und Blaskapellen mit einer eigene Auszeichnung, der PRO MUSICA-Plakette, zu würdigen.
Die Überreichung der Zelter- und PRO MUSICA-Plaketten in Bayern übernimmt am 22. April bei einem Festakt im Hofgartensaal Kleinheubach im Auftrag des Bundespräsidenten Staatsminister Markus Blume. Die Pro Musica-Plakette für (mindestens) 100-jährige Musiktradition erhalten im Freistaat in diesem Jahr der Musikverein »Edelweiß« Sulzbach a. Main (Nordbayerischer Musikbund), der Musikverein Irsee (Allgäu-Schwäbischer Musikbund) und die Musikfreunde Geretshausen (Musikbund von Ober- und Niederbayern).
