Reise durch Europa auf den Schwingen der Musik – Musikverein Edelweiß
Sulzbach: Eine überzeugende Leistung brachte das Schüler- und das Jugendblasorchester des Musikvereins Edelweiß bei ihrem Konzert am Samstagabend in der Braunwarthsmühle. Die jüngsten Talente – dirigiert von Andreas Fath, der sich auch die Rahmengeschichte für das Vorspiel überlegt hat – nahmen die rund 130 Besucher mit auf eine musikalische Reise durch Europa.
Mit Celtic Air starteten sie in Irland, flogen mit Cloudius über die Wolken und brachten die Zuhörer mit dem James-Bond-Thema nach London. Beim Höhepunkt am Genfer See mit dem Stück »Smoke on the Water « von Deep Purple erntete der neunjährige Bryan Göbel für sein Schlagzeugsolo rauschenden Applaus vom Publikum. Das Schülerblasorchester durfte erst nach einer Zugabe von der Bühne.
Nach einer kurzen Pause zeigten dann die Jugendlichen ihr Können. Die Musikstücke waren länger und vom Schwierigkeitsgrad deutlich anspruchsvoller. Sie rissen die Zuschauer mit Stücken von Jubilance und Highland Games oder Auszügen aus dem Musical »Der Zauberer von Oz « hin. Das Wertungsstück »Schmelzende Riesen « von Armin Kofler kam gut intoniert und fehlerfrei, was besonders Dirigent Winfried Rehse erfreute. Auf eigenen Wunsch spielten die Jugendlichen dieses Jahr auch modernere Stücke, in denen E- und Bassgitarre eingebunden sind, wie »Take it easy « von Andre Waignein und »Evil Ways « von Sonny Henry. Nach zwei Zugaben klang der Abend gemütlich aus.
Nächster Termin in der Konzertreihe des Musikvereins Edelweiß anlässlich seines 90-jährigen Bestehens ist eine Serenade des symphonischen Blasorchesters am Samstag, 6. Juli, ab 19.30 Uhr auf dem Sulzbacher Kirchplatz.
