Sommernachts-Serenade mit Finale im Fackelschein – Musikverein Edelweiß

Bei einem guten Tropfen Wein genossen die Besucher der Sommernachts-Serenade am Samstag auf dem Kirchplatz »gehobene Unterhaltungsmusik«, dargeboten von den Edelweiß-Musikern unter Winfried Rehse. Gründe für den musikalischen Abend hatten die Musiker mit ihrem 80-jährigen Bestehen und dem 50. Weihetag der Kirche St. Margareta. Durchs Programm führte Dietmar Rehse. Der erste Teil war dem Singspiel gewidmet. Die Musiker brachten Stücke wie »Jesus Christ – Superstar« von Andrew Lloyd Webber, den »Figaro-Marsch« (W. A. Mozart), »Beauty and the Beast« (Alan Menken), »Moment for Morricone« (Johan de Meij) zu Gehör. Solist am Xylophon bei »Erinnerungen an Zirkus Renz« war Markus Hein. Ein Umbau in der Pause ließ Größeres erahnen: Angelehnt an die Formation des Großen Zapfenstreichs zogen die Musiker, flankiert von Floriansjüngern mit Fackeln, zum »Großen Finale« auf den Kirchplatz. Auf dem Überraschungsprogramm standen Armee-Märsche wie »Mein Regiment« von Hermann Ludwig Blankenburg sowie der »Coburger Marsch« (Michael Haydn) und der »Mussinan-Marsch« (Carl Carl).
