Eine gelungene Premiere feierte das Jugendblasorchester Churfranken. Über 300 Zuhörer waren beim ersten Konzert des Orchesters nach Trennfurt gekommen. Es war ein lang gehegter Wunsch des Kreisverbands Miltenberg, ein eigenes Kreisorchester auf die Beine zu stellen. Um die Jugendlichen zu diesem Orchester zu animieren, wurde für das Musikwerbefest des MV Trennfurt in diesem Sommer erstmals ein Gemeinschaftschor für Jugendkapellen und Jungmusiker aus den Mitgliedskapellen organisiert. Auf die danach erfolgte Ausschreibung haben sich 50 junge Musiker/innen aus fünf Vereinen mit einem Durchschnittsalter von 14 Jahren gemeldet. Unter der musikalischen Leitung von Wilco Grootenboer bereiteten sich die Jugendlichen mit zwei Probentagen und einem Probenwochenende intensiv auf ihren ersten Auftritt vor. Mit dem »Pathfinders March« von Sparke wurde das Konzert eröffnet. Es folgte das Medley von Filmmelodien von John Williams in der Bearbeitung von Michael Sweeny »Movie Themes for Band«. Nach der Showeinlage von Maximilian Schuck bei »Concerto for Triangle« folgte »Midnight Dancer« und »Can you Feel the Love Tonight«. Ein Höhepunkt des Konzerts war das Medley »Let me entertain you«.
