Musikverein Edelweiß Sulzbach: Die Nachwuchsmusiker des Musikvereins Edelweiß Sulzbach gaben eine Kostprobe ihres Könnens. In der Aula der Volksschule Sulzbach waren vier Ensembles verschiedener Altersgruppen zu hören.
Nach einem Begrüßungsstück des Jugendblasorchesters machten die Kleinsten den Anfang: Die Gruppen der Musikalischen Grundausbildung und des Musikgartens trommelten unter Leitung von Sonja Richter den „Trommelkönig von Kalimbo“.
Im Anschluss präsentierte sich die Bläserklasse 2007 mit sechs Stücken wie „Wenn der Elefant in die Disco geht“ oder „Hey, Pippi Langstrumpf“. Die 13 Kinder spielen erst seit knapp zwei Jahr unter Dirigent Andreas Fath und können schon ein beachtliches Repertoire aufweisen.
Nach der großen Pause war das Schülerorchester des Musikvereins Sulzbach, genannt SOS, an der Reihe. Ebenfalls mit Fath als Dirigent ließen die Musiker unter anderem einen keltischen Tanz und Ausschnitte aus „Harry Potter“ von John Williams hören. Mit „Party Rock“ verabschiedete sich das SOS.
Als viertes Ensemble trat das Jugendblasorchester unter Leitung von Winfried Rehse auf. Auf dem Programm standen „Scandinavia“ von Alfred Bösendorfer, „A Klezmer Karnival“ von Philip Sparke und zwei Solostücke für Schlagzeug: „Happy Mallets“ und „Fascinating Drums“. Nach dem Abschlussmarsch „Miltary Escort“ forderte das Publikum noch zwei Zugaben, wobei letztere von allen Musikern intoniert wurde.
